These terms set out the basis on which you may use tempturn.com (the "Site"). Using it means accepting them; if you do not accept them, do not use the Site.

The tool this page covers is TempTurn, a temperature converter. Put simply, it converts between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin, showing the formula for each scale alongside wind chill, heat index and common cooking temperatures, and the way it does so is this: it converts through Celsius as the common scale, so the exact offset of 273.15 for Kelvin and the 32-degree offset for Fahrenheit are applied consistently rather than chained in a way that drifts. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from the temperature you enter, and it is usually opened for things like converting a weather forecast. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

The service we provide

What tempturn.com offers is a temperature converter, free of charge and for general information. Results are estimates generated from your input by the method the page describes. Results are provided for general information and convenience, and should be verified where a decision matters.

No advice relationship

Browsing or using tempturn.com does not create a professional relationship, an advisory duty or any obligation on our part towards you.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law permits, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and for any decision taken in reliance on a result from the Site.

The law that governs these terms

These terms are subject to the laws of the Site operator's jurisdiction, and conflict-of-law provisions do not override that.

We take the method seriously and describe it openly, but we cannot promise every output is flawless or that the material stays current. Where a known margin of error applies, treat the figure as an estimate rather than a fact.
